Welcome to Amberley Gavel
Amberley Gavel was formed in the summer of 2007 by Fred Dean and Nigel Bellchamber to assist municipal governments in Ontario with closed meeting procedure investigations.
In 2006 they had begun working on a process to reflect knowledge of municipal operations that would provide impartial, independent, confidential and credible investigations at a reasonable cost with an educational emphasis.
In 2008 they established the Amberley Gavel Academy Programme to offer educational programmes they believed would be of value to the municipal sector.
AMO’s Local Authority Services works with Amberley Gavel to provide the service consistent with its mandate of finding efficiencies for municipalities through group procurement.
2014 AG Academy
Amberley Gavel Academy is pleased to offer three programmes in 2014, for Municipal Administrative Support Staff, Managerial Development Programme for CAOs and Senior Management Staff, and our most popular Programme, CAO Programme for Excellence in Municipal Leadership.
