Al Solski began his municipal career as a member of Sudbury City Council and also served on Sudbury Regional Council. He later became the Treasurer for the City of Sudbury, a post he held for five years.
Then in 1979, Al joined the City of Brampton as its Commissioner of Administration and Finance. He was appointed Brampton’s City Manager in 1984, a position he held until his retirement in 1999.
Al is a Chartered Accountant and is a graduate of Ryerson with a Diploma in Business Administration.
Al has considerable expertise and experience in municipal administration and finance. Since his retirement, Al has continued to follow municipal government issues.
