Ann Tuplin has spent her entire career, 31 years, with the City of Sarnia.
Ann began work in 1976 in the City Clerk’s Department and became the City Clerk in 1982. When the City of Sarnia and Town of Clearwater amalgamated in 1991, Ann was appointed to the position of Commissioner of Administrative Services.
Following a restructuring of the City in 1994, Ann retained all of her responsibilities as Commissioner of Administrative Services, but her position title returned to City Clerk. In 1994, Ann took on the role of Acting City Manager with responsibility to act for the City Manager in his absence.
Ann was appointed City Manager in January of 2002. In January of 2008, she will retire from her position at the City of Sarnia.
Ann has a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Political Science from The University of Western Ontario and is currently enrolled in the Public Administration Diploma program at Western.
